STAGE 1 / EMPATHIZE
The Empathize stage helped us gain a deeper understanding of both students' and employers' challenges in the hiring process.
Through qualitative research, including interviews with stakeholders, we identified key pain points such as students’ lack of feedback and experience, and employers' difficulty in finding skilled candidates.

STAGE 2 / DEFINE
During the Define phase, we focused on refining the insights gathered from research.
We created Value Proposition maps for both students and employers, revealing that employers struggled to attract the right candidates, while students had difficulty finding relevant job postings with clear expectations.
User Journeys were also mapped to ensure the solution would effectively meet these needs.

STAGE 3 / IDEATE
In the Ideate phase, we began brainstorming by generating key questions that addressed both user ambitions and constraints.
Using the Can-If framework, we explored solutions that focused on how to fairly represent student profiles, improve matching success between students and employers, and streamline the hiring process. This approach helped us narrow down ideas that would ensure the right fit for both parties.

STAGE 3 / PROTOTYPING & TESTING
In the last stage, we adhered to client’s visual identity by creating a Style Guide and reusable components for cohesive design.
We developed two distinct user flows for students and recruiters, including personalized screens such as Dashboards, Favourites pages, and a messaging system. Key features like a "Nudge system" for quick notifications, message read receipts, and the ability to save profiles or job ads improved usability.
For testing, we conducted Think Aloud sessions with students, gathering feedback that led to key improvements, such as optimizing layouts, adjusting colors, and enhancing text visibility.
