A user-friendly platform designed to enhance the rehabilitation process and support patients’ recovery journey after hospital discharge.

The Assisto app aims to improve patient experience and rehabilitation outcomes by providing a seamless transition from hospital care to self-guided recovery.

Developed within a 5-day design sprint, the project focused on addressing the challenges patients face during the rehabilitation process, such as fragmented information and limited support.

Using a user-centered design approach, Assisto offers personalized recovery plans, easy access to resources, and progress tracking, ensuring a more efficient and supportive healthcare experience.

Initially launched in 2020 by a small, non-profit team, GoGetGreen app was temporarily taken down to reassess its functionality and design. The goal of the project was to develop a comprehensive design proposal within a tight two-month timeframe, focusing on usability, visual appeal, and user retention.

The project phases followed Design Thinking framework. This helped to foster a creative atmosphere that encouraged brainstorming, prototyping, and user testing, ensuring a user-centric perspective from the start.

STAGE 1 / DESIGN SPRINT

We developed this project through a 5-day design sprint aimed at building and testing a prototype within a week.

Each day focused on different key areas, starting with understanding customer needs and existing challenges, then brainstorming potential solutions, selecting the most effective approach, creating a prototype, and finally gathering valuable feedback from our target audience.

STAGE 2 / CHANGE MANAGEMENT

We recognized that implementing Assisto requires transitioning from traditional methods to digital technologies, so we evaluated this shift using a change design approach.

As the app was still in development, we used the Prosci ADKAR methodology to identify features that would encourage user adoption, simplify the learning process, and foster lasting relationships with stakeholders.

This model highlighted the importance of progressive onboarding to facilitate a smooth transition from physical rehabilitation to a digital platform, ultimately reducing workload, improving communication, building habits, and providing patients with access to historical data about their injuries.
